Swimwear, the dreaded summer buy regardless of your size. I've never seen my already pancake bum look less appealing than when in bikini bottoms.. but on the other hand, I will certainly not be wearing a thong style and scarring the boyfriends family for life on holiday!

Remember, everyone has body hangups, regardless of size.. there will always be a part that someone hates on their body. You only see the edited version of everyones lives (and sadly sometimes bodies) on Instagram, so avoiding comparison is the only way forward when it comes to dressing yourself - easier said than done I know!

You simply have to try try try when it comes to buying swimwear. I would recommend ordering several styles and trying them on in the comfort of your own home so you can avoid the hideous changing room lighting. Triangle bikinis are perfect for a small to medium bust. Bandeau bikini tops suit a small bust and athletic figure.. add volume by choosing a print or ruffle and even a bit of padding! A v-neck is great for flattering the cleavage if you have a medium/ large bust! Choose a classic bra style if you have a good bust, this will mean you get more support by being able to choose your bra size! If you're worried about a 'mum tum' which is often the case, try a high rise bikini bottom, these will draw attention upwards to the smallest part of your waist - dark colours will help slim. Swimsuits are great for full coverage.. I think regardless of your size they are great and super flattering, you can find ones with support or simply some fun on trend styles.

Don't let your confidence (or comparison!) stop you from hitting the beach!

I've picked a few of my favourites from the high street (tried and tested!)..
